Q: When and where is it again?

A: Saturday, May 22 at 2pm EDT at the Park Church Co-Op in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Due to the fact that we’re still in a global pandemic, the only folks in the church will be through participating in the ceremony. But you’ll be able to tune in live remotely here!

Q: How did you meet?

A: We met online! Noel swiped right on Lauren because she was riding a bike in one of her photos. Lauren swiped right on Noel because he was wearing an elf costume sitting under a xmas tree in one of the photos, and she thought it was a bold and hilarious move.

Our first date was February 13, 2018 at a speakeasy in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Lauren walked Noel to the subway and we had our first kiss there on the corner. Noel double checked that Lauren wasn’t a cat owner – a deal breaker for a severely allergic man. Check.

On our second date, Noel took Lauren to a theater production, which was a bold move since that’s her expertise. He had made a donation to the Pipeline Theatre Company and she was impressed. He handed her a card the theater provided that night that said “Hi, I’m Noel Hidalgo and I’m a magic maker” – and she put it on her desk at work.

We were both so busy producing our own events that our first five dates happened over two and a half months – and on the fifth date (at Emmy Squared, Williamsburg, BK), something clicked.

Then we traveled and dined and saw lots of shows and biked everywhere and learned a ton and fell in love and then learned to love and care for each other through a once in a century pandemic, and now we’re here.

Q: Will we ever see you in person to celebrate?

A: Yes! We’re planning on doing a lot of traveling this summer and will let you know when we’re in a town near you. We’re also planning on doing a picnic in Brooklyn at the end of the summer when more folks are vaccinated and it’s safer to gather. This party has a long tail. #SummerOfLove

Q: How do we send you congratulations?

A: Send us a video toast! Here’s the link to upload one.

Q: Who is doing stuff for your wedding?

A: We made a commitment to hire arts workers and folks who are connected to Greenpoint for the wedding, and we think they are the tops:
